Well, Dell, I feel lost the 'edge'...PC prices went down and the battlefield was getting level.
Doesn't QCOM have ANYTHING that sets them apart from the competitors? If yes, then there is SOMETHING at least. If no, then you are correct.
What I worry about is holding onto it for the long term....because if the people running the company become suddenly STUPID(ala INPR), the we buy and holders are SOL.

Hi arthur and Annette,

I would encourage you both, if you are not already familiar with it, to check out the Gorilla & King thread. Specifically check out the QCOM posts there, especially the ones by Merlin (Mike Buckley). QCOM's proprietary technology and their discontinuous innovation (CDMA) has been covered there as well as could possibly be. It is still the reason why I am long on Q.

With the recent settlement of a suit between Ericsson and Q and other events that have transpired has IMO backed Nokia into a corner where sooner or later they will have to start buying asics from Q and when they do you will see a big pop. Also when China starts to add to the bottom line again another pop. Of course should we ever get T's capitulation, then game is over!!!

If you have news of a negative nature that I may be unaware of please enlighten me or if it is just a feeling again I welcome your opinions.

Thanks,

Joel
