Joel, I don't know who is supplying you with that info but all I can say is try talking to someone on a Nextel TDMA phone. It's a very crappy system, many times you can't even reach the Nextel customer.

I'll continue to land garden jobs with my QCP-860 from Bell Atlantic. They (customers) don't believe I'm talking to them from my truck. Good enough for me.

Good luck SBC. Remember SBC is the same co. that recently bought SE (Sterling Commerce) They seem to have an affinity for acquiring old technologies.

Joel;

This is very old news. In the takeover, SBC inherited a relatively small number of CDMA subscribers. Being a dinosaur RBOC they are sticking with TDMA - hence the conversion of this relatively small number of subscribers to the inferior technology. The "street" has not and does not think this is a big deal.
