They are equally interested in power and equally anxious to use government power if they can get it. Insofar as the conservatives can succeed in intruding, they will intrude. We have enumerated many intimate aspects of people's lives and loves and minds and bodies that they want to control. They will be able to justify each intrusion because they know they are good and virtuous and those whom they want to control are not. They will never, ever, reject the use of any government force, or legislation, that they can exploit to further their agenda. You said to me "You call yourself a moderate." I merely pointed out that it was you who did that.
