Interesting Steven, and I believe I agree with your feminist position. Self esteem among young women, and not taking responsibility for your actions does seem to be a big part of the problem.

I am not in the mood right now to do a search on the topic (sorry) but I seem to remember reading a few years ago quite a few studies which showed a correlation between lowering of teenage pregnancy and the teaching of abstinence in American schools. Maybe a combination of readily available contraceptives and the teaching of abstinence would show positive results. I wonder what type of education is taught in the Netherlands. Is it basic sexual biology or an abstinence based curriculum?
