The MSFT thread is pretty despondent. I'm glad I got out of MSFT a while back (except for my 5 OTM calls bought when I thought they might settle--LOL--they cost about 5/8 and closed at about 1/zillionth I'm sure--). But this certainly seems like a major signal kind of like the moment when DELL only met instead of beating estimates. The death knell of a certain kind of growth.

Probably will affect the market--wouldn't be so bad to retest lows and bounce again--what some call a sideways market but there's $ to made in that (I know a few people who made a lot of $ on QCOM when it was range trading btw 125-145.) But it will probably obscure another week of great earnings--I am happy to have sold half my QCOM for cash, and I do agree with RocketMan that pretty soon CNBC will start the FUD on Greenie and May 16, and there will be an earnings vacuum too so...

It's a bummer--but--the economy's sound, and there's still tons of growth in good companies in tech, so we have to remember that.

One more thot: I've kept my open put positions for May (BRCM and SEBL) but I myself will not initiate any more put positions until the market really shows me strength. Keep us posted on your positions--you may join the steel cojones club! <g> Now I'm going to tiptoe over to the bearish Market Direction thread and see what they're saying, probably predicting a return of the NAZ to 1,000 B.C.
