Great PR move by MSFT with earnings today. I'm sure Bill and Steve never thought they'd have to risk so much to make a point (personal risk) but now find themselves going ahead with Plan C(?). I think I just heard Bill say mate in four. MSFT shareholders (and everyone) will pay short-term for this gambit but we'll all be better off in the long-run.

Good luck Monday.

Re: " This is the only way MSFT can put any heat on the current environment. IMO. No position with MSFT."

Yes ya gotta like a guy who has a very very extreme and strong defensive offense. First they knocked all their competitor's completely for a loop and now they counter their political oppressor's with irreversibility.

Either MSFT wins and everyone -except their competitors, stays happy or the politicians lose. Well being this is an election year I'm betting the politicians will find a way to be on the winning side.

I believe MSFT is demonstrating just how #1 stays #1. And they are doing it without crying for help from Uncle Sam!
