Carl,

I don't know how to put this without sounding sarcastic as I don't mean to sound that way, but do you seriously believe that with two days of research you've discovered anything that damages the lawsuit? Don't you think Hitachi, Micron, JEDEC, et. al. have spent thousands and thousands of hours of lawyers' and engerineers' time researching existing patents? That Rambus has spent similar amounts of time over the past ten years researching and developing patents? And all Hitachi came up with is "well, Rambus got most of their ideas from the JEDEC meetings"? If it is as easy as you think it is to discover prior art patents that invalidate Rambus' claims, do you really think this lawsuit would have lasted more than a week and a half?

There are hundreds, maybe thousands, of more knowledgable and talented people looking at this than any of us (I'm including all bears and bulls in that statement). I'd suggest we not even try to go there as no one who has posted anything on this board in recent history is even remotely qualified to discuss this, except maybe Zeev, whose work is significantly in the area of patents, and he just declined to try to figure it out ("Even if I did spend the weeks required to study all of RMBS' patents and the prior art...").
