Hey Tiger, the other day my son came home from school so excited because he was chosen to say the pledge of allegiance over the school speaker system.

Would you also ban that ceremony because the word "Under God" is used?

Michael

TP, Why would a moment of silence intimidate anyone? Inconvenience maybe but, intimidate? Maybe they feel intimidated because, deep down, they know they should be joining in, and they feel a twinge of guilt. ~H~

<<What's the point of a moment of silence, unless it is to intimidate the other spectators. >>

If everyone participates who are the others that are intimidated? The time can be used for prayer, meditation, feeling part of the group or even working out how to get a strange piece of ass.

A moment of silence is a break from what you were doing to what is about to happen, be it school or sports. It isn't ringing of church bells or laying out prayer rugs.

BTW you left out (of) between need and a.
