People have not noticed enough the fact that defferred revenues are starting to grow again, book value went up 35%, cash + inv. went up 50%.

The company has 161million put warrants at prices from 69 to 78. The company will buyback some of these, using the cash hoard. These are great prices to get put.

>If you have been with MSFT for a while, they love to talk down future expectations.

If you know this, why were you 'asking' yesterday what the street might do if Micro$oft gave positive guidance on the future? ("What if MSFT had 25%+ growth in revenue and EPS and guided stronger and stronger quarters for the rest of the year. What will the market do?")

In any event, they were much more negative than they have been in the past.

thanks for the polite reply. I'll promise to be polite to you, in the future, if you don't ridicule the posters who are (short-term) bearish. In this case, we were right. I'm sure the bulls will be right, eventually. I'm just trying to define "eventually".

C'mon, now. Everyone, and I mean everyone (other than you) says this is bad news. Investors are losing confidence, about the market (due to Fed/inflation news), the techs (due to overvaluation, mainly, and signs of slowing topline growth in several key companies), and about MSFT in particular. This adds to the uncertainty. A lot of people have to be asking themselves now, "how reliable are forward 12-month EPS estimates for MSFT?"
