hmaly, just what is it that makes it so difficult to realize that 1999 happened after 1998? Read the post again. As the previous poster stated, Intel didn't see a jump in demand until 1999. You and the previous poster seem to be arguing that because Intel saw the demand increase in 1999 they should have traveled backwards in time and started expansion a year before.

It might be interesting to compare Intel's ability to forecast the future with the learned analysts ability to do so with stock prices. I doubt he'd welcome such a comparison.

It was very hard to plan for total failure of
Coppermine-0.18 project :) :) Especially after
enjoying years of no competitive pressure and
liberty to define products with high yields
only. Now the time is different. Hence the
results.
