Valley Girl: Exactly! I am concerned about the individual investor in MSFT getting caught in a classic squeeze here. If they remain for the long term I feel they will eventually work out the issues relating to MSFT. This may be two to three years out. If structural restrictions are imposed and they are made to open the code to Windows, and "if" they do not alter their business model, I see a very severe erosion of both their cash position and stock price certainly in the interim term but also over the longer term.

i listen to conf call. This is very tricky. MSFT gave exaCT guidence to the analyst re: erning and rev growth.

MSFT wants their stock to go down. They said there is no plan to buy back. MSFT wants to convince some one they are hurting.......
I WOULD LIKE TO SEE ONE ANALYST WHO WILL GO AGAINST THE COMPANY GUILDE LINE AND PUT OUT THE REAL EXPECTAIONS FROM MSFT.

Why should msft give exact erning and rev #. Analysts should their own home work based on their researach of indusrty. They should come up w. erning that msft should meet and if msft does not then it should be considered a miss. all this is much too manipulated

One needs to make up their mind they will buy and hold for 10 yrs or life time. Cuz short term is not going to be good.

good luck to all longs and shorts...
