Those are of course 2 very big if's. Don't know how the antitrust suit will work out, but would bet dollars to doughnuts that msft will adjust their business model appropriately. This is what has made msft a gorilla over the past 15-16 years. In fact, this is what caused them to be sued by the DOJ! BG was slow to recognize the importance of the web, but once he did, the business model was adjusted very quickly and msft was able to go where the money was. Look at the recent investments msft has made. They are positioning themselves to take advantage of the future where desktops are less important. Regardless of how the suit works out, msft management will figure out how to make the best of it.
