Thanks for the reference to KPLU. I am listening to it now. I can't find as much jazz on the radio as I want.

Let me recommend two jazz musicians. I give 5 stars to Brad Mehldau (piano) - all of his disks, and just about that many to Josh Redman (sax).

Thay are both young and fresh and innovative and respectfully aware of the history of jazz.

Awesome.

Thanks.

Sting...that is a great station, I listen to it all the time. If ever in Seattle, you must go to Jazz Alley, great club that gets a stellar lineup. There is another great station in town that plays obscure alternative and world beat music, it's KCMU @ 90.3. There is fantastic show, that plays new music from all over the world on Tuesday evenings 6-9pm Seattle time.I try to not miss it.

Hi Stinger,

Actually if you are into classic jazz you probably wouldn't have heard of these artists. They are all what I classify as contemporary jazz. We have a great jazz station here in Atlanta called WJZF or jazz flavors. I will send you their web site and you can listen to them over the web also.

Later,

Joel
