Hi Ali,

RE: ", it may be true when looking from
some boxmaker's current need. "

Interesting - I'm curious - in general, what is the min vol req before a top tier boxmaker will consider working with AMD?

RE: "is what usually attracts smart investors"

It's a risk/reward tradeoff. Btw, I have a few options, so I wouldn't push this point too hard : )

RE: "immediate doubling of capacity"

Immediate?

RE: "4Q99 was up only 8% Y/Y" on what?

Ali, a writer should make it clear whether they're talking about growth on: a) revenue, b) profits, or c) units. (Yes, I know what the 8% was for, and that's why I pushed back on it.)

How many units are being produced is the basis for discussing capacity, not revenue.

RE: "You do not need 12 weeks to cash out some amount
of stocks to fix a quarter report, do you?"

Private equities are different than public equities in that they are a lot less liquid.

Public equities have some lock-downs after an IPO, which can last for months.

RE: "Intel as manufacturer is in continuous recession since that time"

I'm familiar with Intel's numbers.
