But, that is a naive point of view. You are closing your eyes to the reality in Cuba. You "wish" that Juan will get to keep Elian, back in Cuba. But, you ignore that, once Elian gets back to Cuba, he becomes a possession of Castro's ruthless government, and not Juan.

Tell Castro that you feel that Elian belongs with the father, and also the hundreds of thousands of other separated Cuban children. Perhaps he will listen to you, although Castro does not listen to his own people.

That is what makes America great. Our leaders do listen to our people. If not, we get rid of them at the next election.
