I view the MSFT situation as an issue of it's own. The fact is the nasdaq is weak at this point and regardless of MSFT earnings will remain weak on its own merit. We have had very solid earnings IMO but there is very little news to propel the index as a whole in an upward direction. Sure, there will still be individual issues that do well but I really think cash is king here dood. Having said that, I will need to lighten up myself to take advantage of any sales that come in the next 6 weeks (which is about how long I think the sideways trend will last - just guessing).

I really need someone to give me some technical advice on my laptop. So if anyone is reading please help me out if you can. I have a 6 gig internal HD. I want to add an external HD and have a USB port. I have been told the performance is slow and that I should use a firewire setup. Is this true and can I use pc slot to hook up a firewire HD? If so....how much faster is it and how much will it cost?

Thanks in advance
