That reminds me of the debate in 1996-1997 over the primitive feathers thought to have appeared on the Sinosauropteryx prima. Two specimen were discovered by farmers northeast of Beijing. Prize quote: "Their presence may mean that Sinosauropteryx was warm-blooded and used the feather-like features to retain heat, the scientists said.
