I could not disagree more. Perhaps you were not reading AMD's thread about a year ago.

<< I realize that some posters from the Intel thread have been out of line on many occasions. What I am referring to is the constant self-congratulatory tone and derision of Intel of so many people on the AMD thread. One difference between the two threads is that Intel posters on the Intel thread don't, and never have bashed AMD to the extreme extent that is going on right now on the AMD thread. It isn't just two or three people, it is just about everybody. >>

I entirely agree with you that straight up Intel bashing is pointless. However, most of the Intel bashing I see on this thread is either factual, speculation on the causes of factual information, or opinions as to how Intel's execution will benefit AMD.

When speaking of AMD's future and window of opportunity, I find it quite necessary to discuss Intel's phantom launches, commitment to rambus, inability to supply high end parts, poor scalability of the p6 core, recalls of motherboards, poor ramp to .18 micron, potential yield problems, and use of investments to meet their eps.

You could consider any one of those things Intel bashing depending on how it's stated, but those things are still quite relevent to AMD's stock performance.

Now I know you don't expect anyone to spare Intel's feelings on the AMD thread. There may be a few individuals who post stuff along the lines of "Intel sucks!, the management are loozers!" but you can use the ignore button on them.
