From Alex Cena & Karen Nielsen, 4/13/00 report on "Wireless Internet - The future Is Now" (Salamon Smith Barney)

(Apologies if this has already been posted.)

"QUALCOMM is the hidden and biggest beneficiary of 3G networks.
A less obvious, but probably the biggest, winner in 3G is QUALCOMM, which will collect royalties from every company that plans to manufacture and sell 3G infrastructure and subscriber equipment based on CDMA technology whether it is CDMA2000 (which has its roots in the United States) or W-CDMA (which has its roots in Europe)."
