What is wrong with perhaps a simple easy to use default for those less savvy and a totally customizable interface for those of us that don't need our hands held? For example, I can do simple sheets in Excel (without the stupid paper clip guy) and someone else with a higher level of knowledge of the program can come along and do sophisticated quantitative reports....with the same program. The software has an interface that is usable on many levels of expertise (or lack thereof). This is the kind of functionality that we want.
