Microsoft's earning news will dampen Nasdaq in the morning, not crash it. This is the age of bandwidth and photons, not PC's and electrons. MSFT will hover around this range for a long time, probably more than a year. Same thing will happen to Cisco when its growth start slowing.
It took two years for Intel to break out of its trading range. Dell has been trading within its range for more than a year. I won't be surprised if, two years from now, the tech company with the greatest market cap will be Nokia or Qualcomm.

Adding the two would suggest a 66% chance of a move up or down of about 60 points from the current level, that is if current implied volatility holds.
