johnd <<"t would be very nice if MSFT settles Monday am and gives a real kick the pant to all the cockroaches.">> Everyone would love to see msft settle asap! However your posts are beginning to show fear and panic. It may very well recover in time,, possibly a short time, but it comes down Monday. You seem to be in this one much too deep and when stooping to name calling etc it is very unbecoming here-- you may wish to sign up at the Yahoo Zoo...
Inferring you have some additional or 'inside' info only adds to the perception of fear and panic..

- MSFT shouldn't & won't settle. Why should they?

- Barron's has an article in April that's very pro-MSFT:

#1 - Sherman Anti-trust law is so sweeping & broad that it should have been declared unconstitutional in the first place. For instance, all contracts restrict trade to some extent.

#2 - the Supreme Court has made many muddled decisions in this area

#3 - Jackson showed total lack of respect to the Appellate court which already ruled that MSFT could bundle Internet Explorer w/ Windows

#4 - Jackson's conduct has been injudicious & intemperate

#5 - everything MSFT has been found guilty of has resulted in better & cheaper products for consumers.

#6 - Jackson seems too consumed witht the fortunes of Netscape & SUN than consumers
