In fairness to Michelda, his current projections are fairly modest and near term and based on an actual analysis of the situation as it is developing. Those longer term projections are too dependent on overall market conditions and are well left to some actual number crunchers who have taken a more detailed look at the underlying fundamentals. I think we will all see some new projections from Lehman, Goldman Sachs, and Merrill Lynch and several others before too long. Besides the overall market conditions, a new way of evaluating some of these internet ipos will emerge (was there ever actually an old way? <G>). Certainly a much more detailed analysis of the business plan is in order, but how would Amazon look in such a situation?

I have not actually seen an official announcement of the 3:1 split yet. We seem to have many details posted here and to the Raging Bull Boards. Apparently the record date will be April 30 with the additional shares to be delivered in June. Apparently these additional shares will not be tradeable until they are actually issued and you will not be able to sell you entire position until then. I am just attempting to summarize the many comments, but the information is not yet posted at the Softbank Investor Relations site yet.
