lorrie, There are a lot of Appalousas that are well trained, and quite a few riding clubs that use them exclusively in parades, etc. The main problem I found with them is that they are rough gaited compared to most. I really like Buckskins too. What's fun is to ride a Tennessee walker. They're not good for much of anything else but, that swaying gait can put you to sleep in the saddle. ~H~
