Goutama:

Thanks for the post...amazing that 80% of float is now institutional...Assuming most are in for the long haul, the remaining 20% float could (and will, imho) dry up very quickly, particularly in light of this latest AMD revelation regarding Q2 sales...

Sorry to hear about the 85's...Going short is a crap shoot on AMD at the best of times it seems.I've won only about 50% of the time on positions taken with less than 30 days. (Fortunately for me those wins were large enough to more than adequately offset short term dollar losses).Going long has been like cherry picking and I don't see any reason to believe Octobers and Januarys won't continue this favourable trend...Not quite the same rush though...I've accumulated, and will accumulate some more this week, May 75's, Oct 70's and January 80's...as the best is yet to come for AMD from my perspective...

I wonder if AMD sold out because Mikey decided to buy AMD CPUs this quarter? If not, then he won't be getting any until at least June. By then, maybe he'll get 2nd...3rd... maybe 9th dibs on Spitfires and Thunderbirds after Compaq, Gateway, IBM, HP, Micron, NEC, E-Machines, Toshiba, and Sony...
