To take such a position and argue it to the SEC indicates they are afraid of loosing money or the ability to profit off the early news.

A counter argument would be to handle the news or information, which, is available currently only to the analysts, by making it available to everyone at the same time. THEN...the analyst could provide their prospective as to what it means as they see it. They do it on the news everyday. Report the news...then tell you what it means in their opinion.

If we all got the news at the same time...it could eliminate those sudden jumps or drops in price that the average shareholder sees, but hasn't a clue why it's happening. <gg>

Is today's stupidity based on the possible break-up of MSFT really???? How absurd! If it were to happen it would be a long time from now. And if it happened at all it could be very good. BUT...then again it may never happen. So let's just be coo-al and PANIC!!!!
