It isn't that hard to forget about small positions. Often, when I buy a penny crap shoot, based on a scan, if I buy say, 100,000 shares at 3 cents, and then it runs to 7 cents, well, I might sell 90,000 shares, and just stow the other 10,000 I have several other stocks in my accounts, that I actually had to go look at what the heck they were. for instance MODA.. I was shorting that one, last year.. when I thought it was at a short term bottom, I would box it in.. Well. I did that so much that I ended up holding 300 shares long... And then I just got bored with the stock and moved on, stopped watching it.. Then MODA went through a name change to IBUY.. Well.. Ibuy used to be a symbol on the OTC... So... I was bored one day and just scrolling through, and I see these IBUY shares... Confused I do a search on SI for IBUY...well...it is an OTC I see...(Not knowing that MODA had changed to IBUY.. So I'm looking at the current price of the shares in my account, and the IBUY thread, and the old IBUY OTC price it was delisted at.. Now I was really confused. So the next day I called the Broker, and said..When did I buy IBUY? IT took a few hours but they finally figured it out.. So hows that. Sometimes, you can be trading so much and doing everything right, that you just forget what you did 3 months ago. I'd venture to say that Wayne has more mystery shares in his accounts than I do, since he seems to buy everything. You know what scares me. You could buy 1 share of MSFT, CSCO, GE, and AOL or you could buy 1 share of every single stock trading on the russian stock market. Can you beleive that...
