on promoting free competition as MSFT bundled its Windows to include what Netscape offered, it gave the message to the marketplace: "DONT DEVELOP INTERNET BROWSERS ANYMORE" so now you havent seen one iota of development as MSFT muddied the Java space by violating the terms of its license, it gave the message: "BEWARE OF CONTINUING WHERE WE INTEND TO TREAD" so now you havent seen much progress with Java as MSFT now begins to step into music downloading, where RealNetworks has make significant inroads, it gives the message: "PULL BACK OR BE SLAUGHTERED" so now RNWK has hedged itself and might sell out after MSFT bundled various mediocrity from PC utility software into Windows, it gave the message: "THERE IS NO MORE GAME IN TOWN HERE, OUR SHADOW REACHES WIDE" so now only Symantec and 1-2 other high quality utility firms remain in 1994 I owned some Stac Electronics stock... they refused to DONATE their trade secret lifeblood to Windows, so MSFT stole portions and put in DoubleClick (very substandard) into a revision of Windows3.1 ... I believe I correctly predicted Stac would be the first company to successfully sue MSFT, with a nice little damage award generally, very few higher quality business operations that develop higher quality software products can begin to find an inroad and penetrate beyond the large spectre of Windows operating system mediocrity personally, I deal with 2-3 PC crashes per week in Windows fifth generation product I open Word and cut&paste, only to have DEFAULT ERROR I attempt to shut down the PC, and find it sticks in NoMansLand I attempt to print, and the print server sticks this is a horrendous Windows product, produced by a monopoly not a surprising development this never happened in the midrange computer business this never happened in the server business this only happens in the world of monopolistic PC business MSFT might have developed independently 3-4 products in the last 8 years all the rest of their socalled "killerapps" were stolen or copied now Ballmer defies the DoJ court ruling openly now MSFT has chosen to politicize a judicial ruling this is a criminal enterprise / Jim Willie
