Happy Easter Elian. What an utterly despicable administration. They are evil.

Charley, my sentiments exactly. This is the same administration that said they had tbomb some place before Ramadan because it would be so offensive to Muslims (or was it Islam?).

But: storm into a house at 5:00 a.m. on the day before Christianity's most holy day and yank a defenseless 6 year old boy by pointing the barrel of an automatic assault weapon at an unarmed, defenseless, half-naked boy? Well, heck yeah.

This is a lawless government run by socialist thugs, cheered on by a socialist media that permits no dissent...

This country needs a Silkwood shower...

That photo, along with scenes of Waco, will unfortunately haunt Janet Reno for as long as she lives. It is ironic that an administration that has shown little regard for the law in its own conduct, champions the law in the most difficult and controversial cases (I would include MSFT in that but it seems profane to mix it with this case). A Solomon is not easy to find in this administration. How do you reconcile two rights, or two wrongs? A young boy torn between relatives who all claim to love him; torn between two societies, one a repressive yet his own, the other in theory free yet alien to him.

There is no winner in this case, and Elian is the biggest loser. On a positive note, his age is in his favor, and he will live to see a free Cuba. Then he will at least be able to make his own decisions, for better or for worse. Until then, Elian may one of the last remaining victims of the Cold War.
