The White House disregarded a court order. Clearly, this regime is now illegitimate.

The Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals ordered Elian to stay in the United States pending the resolution of the case. The Court order was silent as to whether he had to remain with his Miami relatives, or could be reunited with his father. The Justice Department ordered the Miami relatives to hand him over to his father, and the Eleventh Circuit didn't disagree, so it was ok. The ones who broke the law are the Miami relatives. For once I agree with Clinton, it was the right thing to do. That poor kid was being brainwashed against his father, and turned into a spectacle with all the constant hoopla. I hope they take him far away from the reporters.
