<< Juan is in America, he can stay if he wants. >>

Yeh, sure. He can stay in America, as long as he doesn't mind his parents, friends and family being tortured back in Cuba as a penalty for staying here. Do you have any doubts? Why do you think that Castro's thugs open fire on anyone who wants to flee the island, and imprison relatives of those who make it to the U.S.?

<< All that matters is that Elian is no longer being abused by the Cuban exile leadership. >>

Is that all that matters? Does it matter that Elian was rescued from the ocean? Does it matter that Elian saw his mother drown, trying to get him to freedom? Does it matter that the Cuban exile leadership, extended family and friends were able to bring Elian back to mental and physical health, after Elian's horrible ordeal at sea?

Does it matter that Elian was abused by having an armed invasion of his home, where he was very traumatically forced away at gun point?

May the Cuban Exile Leadership stay strong, and eventually bring freedom to Cuba.
