There is a simple Florida Legal Statute on the Cuban Refugees, Those who make it to land stay and those picked up in the water are returned. Where was little Elian picked up? It is my personal belief that the "Elian Event" will lead to restoration of trade with Cuba, The farmers in the South are screaming to be permitted to sell their produce to Cuba. and it is time to stop the "Political" trade embargo and resume our relationship with Castro, Miami is never going to agree to this issue...
