Don't worry anymore about you Amzn short loss.
Paul Allen got screwed out of 50mil!!

James,

I do not wish Allen any ill will but his losses as a percentage of his networth were smaller than mine. In addition, I doubt it affected his life style in anyway.

His business experience consisted mainly of leading
another public company into bankruptcy.

The line above is from your interesting story. Please note Winn was trying to start and run a retail firm. Now we have Amazon which I believe the intention is to be a retail firm. I for years have been looking for the retail experience that Bezos must have had prior to running such a large and "succesful" firm. Is it possible that Amazon is still financially solvent only due to the connection with Kleiner Perkins which helped raise a lot more capital than many competitors? Without all that cash that was raised through Morgan Stanley and I am sure the connections of Kleiner Perkins, would not Amazon be having a cash flow problem?
