Several points of contention: Firstly "the generally overvalued stock market" You must not be referring to technology stocks they are fairly, or undervalued relative to their earnings.

Secondly, demand for AMD and INTC can change on a "dime" and create inventory surpluses if the demand dries up.

Thirdly, the Microsoft case will be vastly different from AT&T case in that the judge has learned from the AT&T case. He will issue structural as well as behavioral penalties against MSFT to punish them not to prop up the stock.

Lastly, if the stock goes down to 20 and you "buy" it, there is no guarantee that the stock will move upwards just because you bought it.
