He forgot to add in the typical arbitrage which would perhaps ratchet it down a touch... but still ... a very good argument he makes. I might have to re-establish my position here..... Thanks for the post John.

3Com's cash and securities are worth much less than $26. Perhaps he meant the remaining non-Palm business, including cash and securities. Anyway, i agree with Gary that 3Com in the thirties is certainly a compelling value -- unless the techs tank further.
