Exactly, in fact at one time it was simply going to be NT 5.0 then Redmond made a change. For most people I tend to think '98 is the best way to go. I just can't see a lot of argument for most home users going to NT, or uh Win 2000.

It could be that I'm confused, however, the following are the Operating Systems offered by one of the PC brands I'm looking at along with Windows 98 se.

"Tested Operating Systems - Microsoft© Windows NT© 4.0, Microsoft Windows© 2000 Professional, Red Hat Linux 6.1"

Windows NT is offered as either Service Pack 4 or Service Pack 5. Hence the confusion for a plain old Windows 98 user.
