OK here is the sequence of photos of what happened in that room. First you have that fisherman clutching the child in the closet. Next the entry of the INS officer. Please note the door is NOT BROKEN in two pieces as it was later shown by the family. Then the confrontation. Then the removal. I don't see the kind of gun to the head that I heard Senator Connie Mack crying about. I see a no nonsense extraction. Pure and simple. I have a real concern about the truthfulness of the Relatives story of how the events unfolded. I have a double real concern about that Donato Dalrymple's opportunistic involvement. Please Lord, let his fifteen minutes of fame end soon. In my opinion he is preying off the whole situation. (Which is not to say that there aren't a whole boat load of agenda's having nothing to do with the well being of this child so dramatically saved from the sea.) Btw, as The Church Lady might have said: "My, wasn't that convenient that there was an AP photographer already in the room before the INS came in."In this first of seven sequential photos, fisherman Donato Dalrymple holds 6-year-old Elian Gonzalez inside a bedroom closet at the Miami home of Lazaro Gonzalez during the pre-dawn hours Saturday, April 22,2000, moments before federal agents entered the bedroom and seized the boy to reunite him with his father in Washington.
