I used to use Value Line. I liked the historical data. I used to use it as input to a simple model I had created.

That was about 10 years ago. With so much information available on the web, I let the Value Line slide.

Best wishes,

I2

Demosthenes, Value Line stocks with a timeliness rating of 1 or 2 historically outperform the market significantly and consistently. It is a good place to build your watch list from. Instead of paying big bucks for the subscription, you can go to the library and photocopy the pages that list the 1's in 2's in the regular edition and the expanded edition. I used to use VL 1 only in a database. This gives you 200 top drawer stocks to begin your searches, sorts or other research. FWIW, I found that stocks making new highs with an Investors Business Daily EPS rating of 80 is the best place to put together a quality list of stocks for further research.

Here is a current list that can be dropped into a Yahoo portfolio -
AAON AD BAYB BJ DEX DFXI DOV EQT FII
GBL GMCR HWM INSUA JKHY KCP LSTR MGG
NDN OMG PCCC RARE RHI SGR SPK TBA TBL
TER TGIC TM UFS WIC
