It is true. Castro could care less if he was a communist, fascist, or whatever. He wanted sole power and he achieved it.

Even Russia had its checks and balances (however meager they were), ...i.e. Kruschev was canned by the politboro for the Cuban missile mess, Castro wasn't. There was no one to fire him and there never will be.

Castro's brother was the communist and preached it back during the revolution. The US was slow to react to Castro because of his brother.

Castro is a despot, a dictator much like Saddam Hussein but ten times as dangerous politically. He only cares about himself and his image. Not the people. Clinton wouldn't stand a chance against him in foreign policy.

For once, I would like the US to learn from history and not support another dictator. We don't need a Saddam Hussein in our own back yard.
