Microsoft has announced that it will buy a 60% stake in Titus Communications, Japan's second largest MSO, from MediaOne. Microsoft will share ownership of Titus with Toshiba and Itochu.

Titus operates nine systems passing approximately 1.6 million homes.

You'd think Toshiba would be their modem provider ? Think again, its Com21:
