One thousand dollar donation to the anti-abortion movement!

There. It's in the first sentence so you can't pretend you didn't read it.

I'll donate thousand dollars (it's up from five hundred!) to your movement if you can find your statement, the one I have called a "lie," or any statement confirming it or coming anywhere close to confirming it, on that University of Pennsylvania site you posted with your "any questions, class?" message, trying to look like the confirmation was there.

I don't like the things you do. You appear to be deeply dishonest. And you appear to have confessed all, with these words:

"Any reason I would have to lie?? Just to SAVE lives??" (I would like it to be noted that the capitalization of the word "SAVE" was yours.)

As for me, I have no motive to lie, and have not. If I have made a mistake, call it to my attention, and I will acknowledge and retract it.

When I say you have posted a "lie," it has a specific meaning: that you post something either you or its originator knew to be untrue. It is not an arbitrary insult-word, PROLIFE. I have offered you, almost begged you, to distance yourself from the untruth represented by the claim made by your movement "for years" that an embryo at 40 days "outputs" 20% of the energy "output" from an adult heart, from the cells that will become a heart.

I guess I won't have to be "tapping" further, having received your words that make no sense except as a confession that you, and the movement that supplied the lie you posted, lie and justify your lies, in your words, "to SAVE lives".

Gosh, you're important and all.

This encounter with you has been very educational. Maybe "eye-opening" is a better term.

I think you should answer her.

The issue really isn't abortion anymore, it's your credibility as a source of information.

Not long ago I commented that countries where sex education was actively taught and contraceptives were readily available had low abortion rates. You asked for sources to back up the allegation. I gave them to you. If I hadn't, you'd have assumed, rightly, that not only that comment but everything else I had to say on the subject was of doubtful credibilty.

Anybody can say anything, on the Internet or anywhere else. And each of us has the right to call a person out on anything they say. We don't have to answer when someone calls us out, but if we don't, we can't expect anyone to take us seriously.

You made a specific claim. E called you on it. You directed her to a site that made no mention of that specific claim.

Either you have a credible source for the claim, or you don't. If you don't, why should we assume that there is a credible source for any other claim you make?

So what's the source?
