People, where do you think MSFT price will be 12/30/00 and 12/31/01? What are your best guesses? Mine 120 and 200 because new govt (likely Bush) will be in white house, case will in appeals court by year end 2000. By year end 2001, MSFT would have either won or settled and new product cycle effect would be realized. When you state your best targets, please state reasons.

johnd-- <<"Wall street has learned to calibrate msft's outlook statements over the years">> yes and so have investors BUT they never have shaved the following years projection and never have been as negative. There was always knowlege they would beat the consensus (as there is now) but the slower growth will not support a high multiple. The lawsuits you feel are a non-event will be an extremely expensive one-- being sued by everyone including their insurance company.. Agreed they SHOULD be able to overcome anything a normal judge would put out but they are looking down the barrell of Jacksons gun and he is prejudiced against them which leads straight to an expensive lomg term appeal process... I'll be looking for an exit point next week and hope I can get out before all the institutions do... it will be more comforting coming back later when stability sets in again,,,
