I experienced the same thing at the Costco Store I use. About 30 minutes after it opened it was swamped! I bet the fact that they are closed Sunday had something to do with the large crowd today!

Re: AMEX VS Discover ... Yes, change is hard and inconvenient, but in the big picture, the savings are worth the hassle ... no doubt in my mind!

Culver City is a nice store. I don't agree with the decision to put in a full-service grocery store next door, the parking lot was already full with just the Costco crowd. And the burger joint and Starbucks and EZ Lube and all the other stores that went in also add to the parking lot nightmare. This was a vacant lot until all these businesses went in, so they "thought it out" beforehand, but I think they underestimated the crowds. But it's great to have a Costco on the Westside.

It does not seem like the credit card switch has lessened the business any, most people don't seem to use a credit card anyway. I never have.
