Dave and others: I already mentioned to you my experience with the bid/ask issue, but further to the subsequent discussion, I often have to call my broker to check on which exchange he sent my option order. I'll be looking at the bid/ask on the different exchanges and think my order should have executed but I didn't see it come across the screen. I'll tell him that on the Pacific exchange, for example, it should have executed only to find he sent it to AMEX. He would then make a quick phone call. A few minutes later I'd see my order get filled. Hum. FYI.

Hope everyone is having a super Easter.

Rick

Dave,

What I've done before in those situations is cancel my order. Sometimes they'll change the bid/ask again back to your favor.

It's strange to see it when that happens. On an illiquid option, it's like the market maker is pitting against you.

Tim

Hi Dave,

I've experienced the same thing...I'm not sure if my quotes are wrong or if this is happening. Personally I prefer to trade on the PCX (usually get fast executions if I buy @ ask/sell @ bid) or the CBOE, as I've found with AMEX I'm never sure about the quotes, not to mention it usually takes longer for me to get a fill (buying @ the ask/selling @ the bid)...and PHX I've actually had them bust a long call trade due to a fast market(even though it was busted after I had sold them for +5pts, leaving me short, and I'm not approved for naked writes), so I usually don't trade with their...@ least in a fast market.

Best of Luck,

Where'd He Go?
