No, US-Cuba relations is in the state it is because Castro is in power. We do not wish to see more AK-47's imported to Miami, this time. Remember China, we got a shipment into Long Beach (greater LA) of AK-47's from them. Let alone a threat of nuking LA and the whole west coast. Formosa straight is becoming active again and the election in Taiwan aggravates a potential conflict with the mainland. Cuba's war machine is in need of repair. You don't see hostilities in Angola at this time or anywhere in our hemisphere. Now is a bad time to re-arm Castro. Keep the embargo.
