>Lastly my point is our federal officials cannot/shouldn't make arbitrary decisions. That's what courts are for.<

Wrong again. The courts are for disputes involving the law.
The court rarely makes law. It rules on them.
There was no arbitrary decision except in granting temporary custody to distant relatives. That was the big mistake.

The Feds enforce the law. Thats what imigration does.

It's nobody's business including you and me.

I agree. Certainly isn't my business, your business, or the court's business, or those people in Miami. It's only the father's business. And now he is free to make his own decisions in the best interests of his child.

So next month's hearing in federal court is null and void?

Yes, we agree again. No court has the right to interfere with a father and his son, barring child abuse.
