News Release BIG VALLEY RESOURCES INC. CDNX SYMBOL: BV MAY 2, 2000 Big Valley Resources Inc. Corporate Update WILLIAMS LAKE, BRITISH COLUMBIA--As was reported on our June 29, 1999 News Release, Big Valley Resources had entered into an option agreement to purchase the Q.R. Mine in British Columbia, from the Kinross Gold Corporation. Closing was to occur by April 30, 2000. The Company has pursued many avenues to raise the purchase price but, to date, has not been successful. Negotiations are continuing with potential lenders and discussions have commenced with Kinross Gold Corporation to renegotiate the terms of purchase. We thank the Shareholders for their patience.
