OT OT Joel ... I haven't been in a German bier keller for ... well nigh ... 12 years ... and that particular one was in Tokyo .... LOL ... so they weren't singing your song. Come to think of it ... I can't remember it from the German bier kellers I frequented in Germany either... but that could either be age ... or the fact I usually couldn't remember anything from those nights anyway ...

Soooo ... the translation is ..... ???

The Criminal Euro Tango.

Und schmul Meier bleibt verschwunden
Und so mancher reiche Mann
Und sein Geld hat Mackie Messer
Dem man nichts beweisen kann

There are good commercial reasons why the Euro will be a titanic fiasco for the common man. But one, everything else overshadowing cause to long term doom and gloom of this floating disaster is IMO it`s creation through corruption and not through the will of the majority of the European population.

Nobody has to go through the pain in learning German in order to understand the meaning behind Mackie Messer in the "Dreigroschenoper".

Because reading the following in English, while thinking like a criminal one would feel urged to puke into their faces or become a begrudger- not being able to participate in the greatest robbery of all times. Legalized robbery that is.

Something like, "I wonder if a shark is a shark if one can't prove it?"
