Why would Clinton sign this law? I don't think he's shown that much interested in kissing exile butt.

Here's a report. The Relatives say they provided Elian everything. (But a FATHER.) They still don't get it. And to top it off they are surprised Juan Gonzalez denied them access to the boy today. (Note to Lazaro: Call your agent. He has a beer endorsement deal waiting for you.)

Several of the Miami relatives came to Washington and talked today about their anguish over losing the boy.

``We provided the child with everything that any child would need, just like any other child raised in this country,' said Elian's great uncle Lazaro Gonzalez, who attempted to see the boy at Andrews Air Force Base on Saturday.

``They did not allow us in,' he said through an interpreter. ``We didn't see his smile, that smile that everyone has seen for months on television and in the newspapers.'

We probably agree on many things and topics. Whatever you think of Reno, she was in a no win situation. She was taking alot of heat for not resolving the situation. Had agents not taken the lightning strike approach and had casaulties on either side she would have taken heat.

Yes, you will see a steady stream of Republicans come out and lambast with new found verocity. They 've done that with Clinton on all crises after the fact. Kosovo, Somolia, Serbia, Haiti etc.
