I believe we were discussing board manufacturing not chip manufacturing. <LOL>

RDRAM will eventually be within 10% of SDRAM at the chip level and of course the performance will be much greater.
At the motherboard level, RDRAM will be much less expensive than DDR. 17 layer motherboards are quite expensive to manufacture and test. But then you are into chips not systems.<LOL>
